The committee of 11-member Parliamentarians headed by its Chairman Maj Gen B C Khanduri (retd) would discuss several key defense related issues, the sources said.
"The team would have briefing on the revamping of the training of the defence personnel and would also take stock of the state of the defence preparedness," they said.
The Parliamentary committee would also take stock of the situation of the border roads particularly about the situations of the roads along the Actual Line of Control with China.
After interacting with the top Army officers at the Northern Command Headquarters, including the Chief of the Northern Command Lt Gen D S Hooda, the team would also visit Hyderabad, Cochin and Bangalore, sources said.
