According to Delhi Fire Services, they received a call about a blaze at the house in Green Park extension at 1 PM. Immediately, three fire tenders responded to the call.
"When the fire fighters reached the house, the house was on fire and goods kept in it were blazing posing hurdles before fire department personnel to rescue the trapped woman," said a fire official.
The woman, Mamta (50), was taking bath when the fire broke out. She got trapped as the fire fast spread to the entire house, police said.
The other members of the house were rescued by fire officials who used a ladder to reach the upper storeys.
Mamta hailed from West Bengal and had been working in the house for the last 10 years.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the fire was caused by a short-circuit.
