Stolen jewellery worth over Rs one cr seized, one held

A man was arrested today from a village under Phulparas police station area in Bihar's Madhubani district and jewellery worth over Rs one crore, which he had stolen from Chennai last month, was recovered from him, a police officer said.
A team from the Anna Nagar police station in Chennai, with the help from local police, arrested Mintu Sah from his house in Khargama village and recovered the jewellery which he had stolen from his employer Manish Khemka's house in Chennai on January 31, Phulparas police station SHO D N Mandal said.
Taking advantage of Khemka's absence, Sah fled to his home here after stealing the jewellery, he said.
Khemka had lodged an FIR at Anna Nagar police station in Chennai on February 2 against Sah charging him with theft of the jewellery, Mandal said.
The cops from Anna Nagar police station left with the accused for Chennai, the police officer added.
