Stating this here today, Punjab Education Minister Sikandar Singh Maluka said the six zones would come up in Bathinda, Patiala, Ludhiana, Ferozepur, Amritsar and Jalandhar, and plots had been identified for the purpose.
Each zone would be supervised by an organiser and the players would be provided residential accommodation and excellent coaching, according to an official release.
Maluka said overall facilities would be provided to promote and maintain standard of sports in all zones, and the organizers would personally monitor sporting activities to encourage the players to compete at higher levels.
