Addressing a series of election meetings in several villages of Talwandi Sabo Assembly segment, the PPCC chief said, "It is perhaps for the first time in the recent history of the state that the police is being misused to this extent by the rulers for their vested personal and political interests."
He asked policemen to listen to their conscience rather than follow "illegal and flawed orders" of Akali leaders.
He alleged that the law and order situation is deteriorating in the state.
"Crime cannot flourish without political patronage," he said.
Bajwa asked people to end the Akali regime in the state headed by Parkash Singh Badal and said the process should start with the defeat of party candidates in the two bye-elections on August 21.
The PPCC chief alleged that only addicts were booked in drug-related cases the name of arresting smugglers and that drugs are still openly available as before.
