Sanchez took charge of the pre-season training and friendly matches before the club decided to repose its faith in Serb coach Davor Berber.
During Berber's tenure as coach, the team performed poorly, failing to win a single match in the ongoing Goa Professional League. This has forced the management to replace him with Subrata.
