Subsidised mid-day meals for labourers at 4 construction

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today launched a pilot project for providing highly subsidised mid-day meals to labourers at four construction sites of the government in the state.
Under this scheme, which will be implemented at four government construction sites here, mid-day meals would be provided to labourers at the cost of Rs 10.
"The scheme will not only provide cheap lunch but also give them nutritious food. It is being implemented as pilot project in Lucknow and will be started in other districts soon," the Chief Minister said at a function to mark May Day.
Yadav announced that the state government will provide 1000 cycles to labourers and pension of Rs 1000 to such workers above 60 years.
