Sultry morning in Delhi, more rains likely

Delhiites today woke up to a sultry morning with high humidity levels, even as the Met department predicted some respite afternoon onwards.
"The minimum temperature recorded at 8.30 AM was 27.9 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal for this time of the year. The humidity level was 88 per cent," a MeT official said.
The weatherman has predicted light rains in later part of the day.
"Light rains or thundershowers could occur in some areas," the official said.
The mercury is likely to settle at 34 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 34.9 degrees Celsius while the minimum had settled at 25.5 degrees.
