Sultry weather troubles residents

Residents of the national capital continued to wipe sweat on yet another sultry day which saw maximum temperature soaring to 37 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal.
Lack of rainfall kept the temperature high adding to the woes of citizens, stuck in traffic and metro rush. A large number of them had ventured out to celebrate Raksha Bandhan.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.5 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal, a met official said.
Humidity oscillated between 48 and 80 per cent.
The weatherman has predicted partly cloudy skies for tomorrow with the minimum and maximum temperature expected to be around 28 and 37 degrees Celsius.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was 36.8 degrees Celsius while the minimum settled at 28.6.
