Suspended constable who shot at man arrested

The suspended Delhi Police constable who allegedly shot at a man following a heated argument was arrested today.
According to the police, the constable Bharat, had purchased a new motorbike and had invited the victim, Mohammed Aslam, for a party.
Bharat turned aggressive after a few drinks and entered into a heated argument with Aslam. Things turned worse when Aslam tried to leave the party and Bharat shot at him.
In his complaint, Aslam told police that Bharat shot at him and the bullet hit his left leg. He was rushed to a hospital and was later reported to be out of danger.
Meanwhile, Bharat went absconding after the incident.
"A case of attempt to murder was registered and the constable was arrested today," said DCP (East) Bhairon Singh Gurjar.
The constable was earlier posted with the Preet Vihar police station. He was suspended a few months ago and sent to district lines, an official said.
