Acting on a tip off, police laid a check point at Mangit area and found a man suspiciously roaming in the area along with a herd of bovines, an official said.
"On questioning, Sakhi Mohmmed a resident of Dharama, confessed that he was taking eight bovines to Kashmir from Doda, to sell those" he said.
"In another incident, Kifayat Ali and Rayees Ahmed were trying to smuggle 70 bovines to Kashmir. On questioning the duo confessed that they were taking the animals to Kashmir to sell," the police official said.
