The initiative--Swacch Bharatr Swacch Vidyalaya-Smart School-Healthy Child was the continuation of world hand washing day event being held every year and will focus on personal hygiene among children, segregaton of waste maintenance of toilets and also awareness on sanitation, official sources said.
Being carried out in association with Arc Foundation, an NGO, the program covered 60 elementary and middle schools run by the corporation today and will be conducted in all the 83 corporation schools during the month.
The Corporation commissioner K Vijaya Karthikeyan narrated the students about his experience on his hygiene habits.
