Swine flu claims first victim in Goa

A 45-year-old man who had arrived from Hong Kong two weeks ago has become the first victim of swine flu in Goa.
The man died at a private hospital in South Goa yesterday, confirmed directorate of health services (DHS).
However, his identity was not revealed.
"The patient had arrived from Hong Kong two weeks ago. He died due to swine flu," said Dr Utkarsh Betodkar, who is attached to the DHS.
Betodkar said there was no reason to panic and the DHS had investigated all the people who had come into contact with the deceased.
