Syngenta develops new crop solution for groundnut growers

Agri-Business company Syngenta today said it has developed a new integrated crop solution to help boost productivity of groundnut growers in Gujarat and enhance its export potential.
It has also established five Syngenta Learning Centres (SLCs) in Junagadh District-, where the company will train farmers on a complete package of agronomy and crop solutions for groundnut, the company said in a release.
The intervention has resulted in a yield growth of about 25-30 per cent compared to the conventional farmer practice, the release added.
"We are working towards improving the productivity of groundnut in Gujarat, which will help in reducing the burden on the imports bill, and support India in reaching world-class productivity standards", Syngenta South Asia Crop Marketing, Specialty Head Anand Gudihal said.

Wockhardt multi-speciality hospital opened in South Mumbai * Wockhardt Hospitals, part of the Wockhardt Group, today inaugurated a 350-bed multi-speciality hospital at Mumbai Central.
The hospital has a collaboration with Partners Medical International (PMI), an associate of Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals.
The partnership will help bring to Wockhardt's patients, global standards of care and clinical expertise. Senior staffs at the hospital, including doctors and nurses, have undergone training at Harvard Medical School.
Wockhardt Hospital is the first hospital in South Mumbai with a dedicated heart institute and will also have 100 beds for critical care, the largest such facility in the city, to a release said.

Atchayam's Foodbox launched
* Atchayam's Foodbox, an automated food delivery outlet which delivers food from popular restaurants, today announced its fourth venture here with the launch of an outlet at Chennai Central railway station.
Founder and CEO of Atchayam Foodbox Satish Chamyvelumani told reporters here that the outlets had already been established at an IT park, Central Mofussil bus Terminus at Koyambedu and a private university near here.
Plans were afoot to launch outlets in main streets, highways, hospitals, universities and office complexes as part of future expansion plans, he said, adding, talks were on with a Dubai entity, to launch outlets in Middle East soon.
