The action comes following the minister's inspection at these shops and found that they were locked on a working day.
"Hussain directed the department to take stringent action against these two fair price shops (FPS) dealers as per laid down law," said a senior government official.
The official said that after his visit, the minister also directed officers to ensure that all the prescribed information is displayed on the boards of all FPS and that no laxity will be tolerated on the part of "erring" FPS dealers.
Hussain informed that the field inspection in the coming days will be more "frequent, stringent and intense".
Last week, he had directed officials to conduct surprise inspections of all the ration shops after he had found irregularities during his visit to two such establishments.
