Taluk level transport department service centre inaugurated

: Chief Minister N Rangasamy today declared open the first taluk level office of the Transport department at Thirubuvanai.
He said this office would serve the needs of vehicle owenrs and also to issue driving licenses and cater for other requirements of vehicle owners. Such offices would come up in a phased manner in all the taluks, he said.
Transport Commissioner S D Sundaresan, who also spoke, said Puducherry had been witnessing an unchecked rise in the number of all types of vehicles. Consequently the services to be rendered by the department had also been on the increase.
