Tanker lorry overturns near Kasargod, no gas leakage reported

One tanker lorry carrying LPG overturned here today disrupting vehicular traffic on national highway 17, police said.
No leakage of gas was reported and experts from BPCL's Mangaluru plant along with cranes are making efforts to set right the lorry.
The driver of the lorry from Mangaluru to Ernakulam failed to take notice of the vehicle coming from the opposite direction and applied brakes suddenly following which the accident occurred early this morning.
A case for negligent driving has been registered against the lorry driver, who escaped unhurt in the accdient, police added.
