The film, starring actor Taron Egerton in the titular role, will now hit the screens on September 21 next year, reported Variety.
Apart from Egerton, the origin story of the heroic outlaw also features Jamie Foxx as Little John and Eve Hewson as Maid Marian.
Actor Jamie Dornan will star as Will Scarlett, Robin Hood's half-brother.
The story will revolve around Robin Hood being a war- hardened crusader and his teaming up with a Moorish commander in a revolt against the corrupt English dynasty.
The film is being directed by Otto Bathurst and written by Joby Harold.
Many films have been made in the past on Robin Hood, the most recent being Ridley Scott's "Robin Hood" (2010), which featured Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett.
