BJP leader D Purandeswari -- who recently quit Congress -- today expressed her confidence that the proposed alliance between the saffron party and the TDP will benefit both the parties.
Talking to reporters, the former Union Minister said delay in the finalisation of seat-sharing arrangement created confusion in the minds of candidates and cadres, and it should be worked out at the earliest.
When asked whether TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu was opposed to her candidature, she said her candidature was for the BJP to decide.
She said she found during her Seemandhra tour that people supported Narendra Modi, BJP's prime ministerial candidate.
Seemandhra people aspired to Gujarat-like development, she added.
She demanded that a separate chilly board be set up by dividing the Spices Board, to encourage the export.
