The CEO of the tea garden Indranil Ghose said the plantation will reopen from today following a tripartite meeeting attended by the management, union representative and Assistant Labour Commissionar Md. Rezanur in Siliguri earlier.
Most of the laoburers attended their duty from 9 am.
The workers, under the banner of Trinamool Congress, had been agitating since June 31 after the garden was closed on June 30 and sat on a relay fast from July 19.
The management had ordered work suspension following some disagreement with unions and an estimated 1,200 permanent and temporary workers were rendered jobless for past one month.
