A team of Central Minority Commission today visited Khirgaon locality, Habibinagar and Pandu villages in Jharkhand where violence broke out on Ram Navami that led to a week-long curfew.
The team, headed by Farida Abdullah Khan, also met the affected families, whose shops and properties were torched on that day.
Khan told reporters that the team would recommend the Centre to give compensation to the victims, whose properties were either looted or burnt in the violence.
A report on the two-member team's findings would be sent to the Centre and Jharkhand government, she added.
Capt Pawan Kumar is the other member of the team.
