Teenaged girl crushed to death

Rukhsana (19), a resident of Naidgam, died on the spot after being hit by the train near Manzgam village at around 10:15 AM, a police spokesman said.

The train was on way to Budgam from Srinagar, he said, adding, it was not immediately known whether the girl committed suicide by jumping in front of the train or was crossing the track when she was hit.

"It is a matter of investigation. A police party is on the spot and further details are awaited," he said.
