Abid Hussain (13), a student of Middle School Tipri, had gone on a school excursion when the incident occurred near Prano checkpost in Bhaderwah area, SDPO, Bhaderwah, Sardar Sajjad Ahmed Khan said.
The boy was taken to a hospital where he was declared brought dead, he added.
A case has been registered and a hunt launched to nab the driver of the mini bus, the officer said.
