Tehsildar nabbed taking Rs 40,000 bribe

A revenue official was caught red-handed while he was allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 40,000 in Telangana's Warangal district, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials said today.
Tehsildar, M Chakradhar, posted at Bhupalpally Manal in Warangal was caught red-handed yesterday while accepting Rs 40,000 as bribe from the complainant for doing an official favour, an ACB release issued here said.
After recovery of the bribe amount, the officer was arrested, it added.
