The current portal, www.Telangana.Gov.In, was step up as a stop-gap arrangement during the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. Telangana was carved out of Andhra Pradesh last year and it came into being on June 2.
"The new portal is being designed as per national and international guidelines for government websites. It will have special features so that even differently-abled people can access the content. Initially, the English version of the portal would be launched, followed by Telugu and Urdu versions," an official release said here today.
The portal will contain daily news updates and press releases from the Government. Besides hosting a modern photo and video gallery, it will be well integrated with social media platforms.
The website would be launched in a week's time at a special programme, the release added.
