Two police officers shoot each other dead in MP town

In a bizarre incident, a sub-divisional officer of police and a town inspector shot each other dead following an argument in Niwadi Road town, about 60 km from here, today.
The deceased were identified as SDOP K C Malik and inspector Pramod Chaturvedi, both posted at Prithvipur police station.
According to police, Chaturvedi and Malik had a heated argument over some issue at the latter's office, following which both shot each other with their service revolvers.
Both were rushed to Prithvipur Primary Health Centre where the doctors pronounced them brought dead.
Dr M K Jain of the PHC confirmed that bullet injuries were the cause of death in both cases. However, deputy inspector general of police and additional superintendent of police could not be contacted.
Malik was posted with Prithvipur police station only recently.
