Temperature rises in UP, dry conditions to continue

Vast parts of Uttar Pradesh sizzled under torrid weather conditions as temperatures soared in many places, with Banda being the hottest place recording 46.4 degrees Celsius.
Temperature rose in Meerut, Kanpur, Jhansi, Moradabad, Aligarh and Muzaffarnagar divisions, the MeT department said.
Temperatures were above normal in Varanasi, Bareilly and Allahabad divisions.
Weather is likely to remain dry over the state during next 24 hours, MeT department said.
With intermittent power cuts, people faced a difficult time across the state, reports from districts said.
