Temperatures hover close to normal in Punjab, Haryana

The maximum temperatures today hovered close to normal levels across Punjab and Haryana, with the region receiving scattered rains.
Chandigarh recorded a high of 34.6 deg C while the maximum temperature in neighbouring Haryana town, Ambala, settled at 35.1 deg C.
Hisar recorded a high of 33.5 deg C while Karnal's maximum was 33.4 deg C.
Bhiwani and Narnaul recorded respective maximums of 34 deg C and 32.5 deg C.
Patiala in Punjab registered a high of 35 deg C, Ludhiana's high was 33.5 deg C while 34.8 deg C was the maximum recorded at Amritsar.
The MeT department has forecast light to moderate rain or thunder showers at isolated places in the two states tomorrow.
