Affiriming most of his films were directed by debutants, Mishawr Rawhosyo actor Indraneil Sengupta says for any director and actor the basic agenda remains to be part of a good film.
"I have turned up in the projects of over 80 per cent debutant film makers, from Kamaleshwar (Mukherjee) in his first film Uro Chithi to Srijit (Mukherjee) in Autograph," Indraneil told PTI at the look unveil of Teenpatti, made by debutant director-duo Jenny-Dipayan.
"All that matters is how the film will fare at the box office, how much it will be liked by the audience. I get goosebumps like every actor on a Friday.
"Which actor doesn't? From Amitabh Bachchan to Indraneil Sengupta!" the Kahaani schemer said.
"Basically the formula is let's keep it simple. And the rest will follow," Indraneil said when asked if there was any formuila behind a flick hitting turnstiles.
"Me, Ritwik (Chakraborty) and Puja we had fun-filled moments at shooting and that showed on screen. Ritwik was in one type of role in Shabdo, here he is steeped in different milieu. This is more cathartic for an actor. I had yearned to be part of a project where Ritwik is part of, after watching his films," Indraneil said.
Refusing to tag Teen Patti with a murder mystery, the lust-filled on-screen superstar in Nayika Sangbad said "It has other elements as well. A sleek entertainer."
Popular actress down South, Puja Bose said, "Three of us - Ritwik, me and Indraneil are the cards in Teen Patt game but more than a game it is a murder mystery.Moulded in popular genre"
Teen Patti, produced by RDS Entertainment, is a murder mystery revolving a young businessman whose death triggers a chain of events.
