Theatre and music artists Kakade, Kamath to be honoured

Two prominent personalities from the theatre and music field Arun Kakade and Ramdas Kamath will be honoured with the lifetime achievement awards at a function here next week.
They will be honoured during Saptarang, an art and cultural programme to be organised here on January 8-9, Manoj Shivaji Sanap, Joint Director, Cultural Affairs Department, Maharashtra Government, said at a press conference here today.
Kakade will be presented with Natavarya Prabhakar Panshikar Rangabhoomi Jeevan Gourav Puraskar, while Kamath will be honoured with Sangeetacharya Balwant Pandurang Annasheb Kirloskar Sangeet Rangabhoomi Jeevan Gourav Puraskar.
Kakade, a veteran theatre personality, is the man behind the success of Marathi theater group Aavishkar. Kamath is a well-known stage singer.
