"The leaders who are talking about the Third Front would have no impact in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and these regional leaders have come together only to safeguard their existence," Shah, a confidant of BJP's prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi, told reporters here.
Shah, who is also in-charge of party affairs in Uttar Pradesh, was here to review organisational activities and assess the strength of aspiring BJP candidates.
The BJP leader said the elections would be fought in the state on the name of Gujarat Chief Minister Modi, and after the polls the BJP government at the Centre would eradicate poverty, inflation, corruption and scams.
He said the people of Uttar Pradesh had not yet forgotten the misrule of BSP, and the present SP government in its two years had set new records of anarchy, and added that the people were eager to hand over power to BJP.
