Third thermal power unit of BTPS starts production

Bellary Thermal Power Station at Kuditini in the district today officially opened its third unit with a capacity to produce 700 MW of electricity.
BTPS is now producing 1,700 MW.
The production from the third unit would help ease the problem of power shortage, Karnataka Power Corporation Limited Managing Director Kumar Naik told reporters here.
