Police constable attempts suicide in Thane

A 22-year-old police constable, who had recently joined the force, allegedly attempted suicide by firing from his gun, police said.
Sagar Maluskar, who was on duty at Quarter Guard, opened fire from his SLR rifle at around 11.30 last night and got injured, a senior police officer said.
The constable was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and his condition is stated to be out of danger, she said.
Police have so far not registered a case in this connection.
