Thomson to lead jury for Indian golf awards

Five time Open Championship winner Peter Thomson will lead the jury for this year's TAKE Solutions India Golf Awards.
Five time Open Championship winner Peter Thomson led the Jury for the country's first and premier golf awards powered by India's only golf portal www.Golfingindian.Com.
The award ceremony will take place next month and will be presented to professional golfers and to amateurs among CEO golfers, bureaucrats, top academies and teaching pros.
Thomson is a prolific tour winner noted mainly for his repeated triumph at the biggest event in golf, the Open Championship.
The 85-year-old Australian has been very active despite advancing years, seen around presentation ceremonies at some of the biggest tournaments in golf.

"The game has grown a lot when I see it now," said Thomson on the growth of golf.
"It's pure joy. I have not been here for several years and this time it's on a longer trip so I am looking forward to that. I didn't quite do everything alone. At the time there was something missing from the world calendar and the dire need of having something in India," said the legend.
