The accused had been corresponding with the victim from several days for executing a scrap deal. Finally, Kumar decided to settle the deal and came to Jaipur on the evening of May 3.
He was abducted from the Jaipur International Airport (JIA) and taken to Pahari town in Bharatpur division where the accused thrashed him and demanded a ransom of Rs 90 lakh, DSP Kama Rai Singh Beniwal told PTI.
SHO Pahari, Mukesh Chand said Rs 10 lakh each were deposited in bank accounts in Ajmer and Makrana.
"We had got a tip-off regarding the abduction following which we laid a trap and arrested the accused. Few others involved in the kidnapping are yet to be arrested. We have recovered the ransom amount from the bank accounts," Chand said.
