Three arrested for demanding money from film producer

Three persons were arrested today for allegedly demanding money from a producer in return for not uploading the latter's upcoming film on the internet.
Hyderabad police said in a release that P Sudhakar Chowdary, P Prabhakar Chowdhary and Y Vijaya Nag were arrested by the Cyber Crime Police based on the complaint by K Krishnaiah.
Police said that a few days before the release of the complainant's movie, the three accused had approached him stating that they could stop the piracy of his movie using their contacts.
They then asked for money from the producer for not uploading his movie on the internet, said police.

A case had been registered and further investigations were on, police said.
