Ambika Prasad Dube was killed allegedly in a police firing at Jhipani Dhana village following a dispute in June 2012.
Later, his daughter filed a petition in the Madhya Pradesh High Court alleging that the police murdered her father after a dispute with a salesman over distribution of foodgrains.
Dube was shot dead after a dispute over allocation of quota for a ration shop following which police intervened in the matter. In the melee Dube suffered bullet injuries allegedly fired by police after which he was rushed to a hospital but he succumbed enroute.
The accused were produced in a local court, which sent all of them to jail under judicial custody.
