The three-day long 'Bundi Utsav' which will showcase the rich cultural heritage of the state through various events, is set to kick off on November 17 at Bundi Garh Palace.
The state tourism department is taking steps to woo a huge crowd of foreign and domestic tourists, Naresh Kumar Thakaral, District Collector, Bundi, said.
The three-day event will feature a Polo match, a live cooking show and a number of innovative events in the course of three days.
The inaugural day will start with Ganesh Puja at Bundi Garh Palace in the morning and will be followed by a chain of events for the day including a grand procession and a number of fun activities like rope-pulling, turban tying, horse and camel race, Thakaral said.
A live-cooking show is also scheduled for the next day. Thakaral said an industrial fair at Shilpgram would also be inaugurated on the same day.
Around 100 shops of handicraft items will showcase the items manufactured by women from various self-help groups at the fair.
However, the sales are likely to be hit by fresh currency crisis after Centre's decision to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes.
The big attraction will be Bollywood singer Ravindra Upadhyay who he is scheduled to perform on the same day.
The event will culminate on the next day with events at divisional headquarters of Indergarh, Lakheri, Hindoli and Keshoraipatan.
Large number of tourists are likely to arrive for 'Bundi Utsav' straight from Pushkar fair which is set to end on Monday.
