"The event to be held from December 12 to December 14 here at open air art museum Purkhauti Muktangan would provide a platform to know and understand literature and culture of different states," Chhattisgarh state public relations director Rajat Kumar said.
"More than 150 litterateurs were expected to attend the festival," he said.
Literature lovers and people would have opportunities to see and meet eminent writers as well as litterateurs from within and outside the state, the officer said.
The programme would witness as many as 53 sessions on several issues like women in Hindi literature, literature and cinema, as well as the face of new poetry.
Chhattisgarh would also be covered in various sessions during which Chhattisgarhi cinema, history of Chhattisgarh, folk literature of Chhattisgarh, archaeology as well as culture would be showcased, he said.
Besides the book fair, separate workshops on creative writing, children's literature, photography and cartooning would also be organised.
