On September 1, college students Mohit Surya and Babu Yadav robbed a bag carrying Rs 53 lakh from steel firm employees Lavkesh Gupta and Suresh Yadav in Mandi area, in connivance with another firm employee Akash.
Police got the clue about the involvement of Lavkesh and Akash in the crime through CCTV footage of the incident, Superintendent of Police (SP) West, Anil Singh Kushwaha told reporters here.
During interrogation, Gupta confessed to his and Akash's involvement in the crime, following which police arrested the duo along with Mohit, Kushwaha said.
After snatching the bag, Mohit and Babu buried it in a wrestling ring, which was later recovered, he said.
Meanwhile, Babu and another person allegedly involved in the crime were absconding and efforts were on to nab them, the SP said.
