Three killed in bus-truck collision

Three persons were killed and seven others injured in a collision between a bus and a truck near Mahnathpur village in Katihar district today, police said.
The mishap took place on NH-31 when the bus rammed into the speeding truck coming from the opposite direction after the drivers of the two vehicles failed to apply brakes on time, police said.
While the truck driver and two bus passengers were killed on the spot, seven others were injured, they said.
The injured were admitted to a hospital.
The bus was carrying passengers from Purnia to Bhagalpur, the police said.
