The accused was identified as Sanjiv N Wanle, a resident of Bhusawal, police said.
"Between December 2013 and October 2014, Wanle had collected Rs 20 lakh cash through fine he collected from ticketless passengers. Instead of depositing the amount with the railway authorities as per rules, he kept the money for himself," RPF Inspector Ajay Yadav said.
When the matter came to light, the divisional chief ticket inspector B S Tadvi, on November 5, lodged a complaint against him for misappropriation of government funds.
