Tirupati temple will be built in Dehradun, other places: TTD

As part its plans to have a Lord Venkateswara temple in every state capital of the country, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is building a temple in Dehradun in Uttarakhand, a senior government official today said.
TTD Joint Executive Officer Pola Bhaskar told reporters here that Uttarakhand government has allocated land for the Lord Venkateswara temple and construction would commence.
"Already, land has been allocated by the government. We have called for tenders. The agents have been finalised. Plans and designs are there. Just work has to be commence," he said.
Asked the timeframe for building the temple, he replied that it would take about two years.
Bhaskar also said that construction of Lord Venkateswara temple at Kurukshetra in Haryana would be completed in six months.
"We have already requested the Chief Secretaries of all the states to allot land measuring five to ten acres (for building a Lord Venkateswara temple)," he said, while replying a query on TTD's plans to construct temples in different parts of the country.
Stating that Maharashtra has responded, Bhaskar said that they were pursuing with other state governments also for the purpose.
TTD has already built temples in some states including New Delhi and Chennai.
Meanwhile, TTD is conducting 'Sri Venkateswara Vaibhaotsavam' at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi between October 31 and November 8, where replica of the Tirumala deity would be recreated and pooja akin to the holy hill shrine would be performed for Lord Venkateswara.
Deepa Venkat, managing trustee of Swarna Bharath Trust and organiser of the Vaibhaotsavam in Delhi said, Sri Venkateswara Vaibhaotsavam is being held in Delhi for the first time after Andhra Pradesh.
