As part of its efforts to promote tourism in Andhra Pradesh, the state Revenue Department has succeeded in its talks with private airline promoters to connect their flight services to the spiritual city of Lord Venkateswara, Tirupati Sub-collector Himanshu Shukla told PTI.
Air Carnival, an Indian regional airline based in Coimbatore, would begin its operations in the Coimbatore-Tirupati-Coimbatore sector for four days a week from Thursday to Sunday from November 17, he added.
SpiceJet has also agreed to operate its flights from Mumbai to Tirupati from next month, said Shukla.
