TMC to come up with policy on having zones to put up posters

Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) will soon come up with a policy to have designated places in the city for putting up posters, banners, announcements in order to keep the city clean and walls free from cluttering.
"Civic body will come up with the policy next month under which specific locations will be marked where people can put announcements through posters, leaflets, banner etc, while such things will not be allowed at any random place. This will keep the walls clean," TMC Commissioner Sanjeev Jaiswal said.
He said a cleanliness and beautification drive will also be undertaken shortly where walls across the city will be painted.

The official apprised that social organisations, students or anyone who to take part in painting walls can participate and use any theme will a social message.
Lakhs of city residents this Sunday will take part in a mega cleanliness programme in the city, he added.
