"Due to several proactive policy initiatives of this government, software exports from Tamil Nadu have shown phenomenal growth from Rs 42,210 crore in 2010-11 to Rs 82,445 crore in 2013-14", an increase of 93.5 per cent, he said presenting the state budget for 2015-16.
Stating that Tamil Nadu was one of the few states to have an integrated infrastructure, he said the government had allocated Rs 82.94 crore towards upgrading the IT facility.
"The Government is committed to provide a robust information technology infrastructure to support the growth of software and hardware industries. An allocation of Rs 82.94 crore is provided in this budget estimates for the department", he said.
