"The 19-year-old accused, identified as Amardip Saroj, took the victim, who is his cousin's daughter, to a secluded area in Sama locality on Saturday and committed the crime," police inspector J D Raval of Sama Police station said.
The accused has been booked under section 376 (rape) of the IPC as well as the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. He would be produced before a court on Monday.
The girl has been sent for a medical examination and further investigation is on.
