Torn pages of religious book found scattered in Punjab village

Some torn pages of a religious book were found scattered at several places at Chattarpura village near Mandi Gobindgarh town of the district, police said today.
After receiving information about the desecration incident, senior police officers reached spot.
Ravinder Singh Khalsa, an SGPC member from Amloh, said he had received a phone call from a villager around 7 PM about the incident. He immediately reached the spot and found pages of the religious book scattered at various places in the village.
Police said the matter was being investigated.
