Bus driver Shiv Dayal Singh filed a complaint that Bhagwat Singh Mehta, Manager-Operation posted at Dungarpur depot, has demanded a bribe of Rs 2,000 on the promise of putting him on duty on Dungarpur-Ahmedabad route, an ACB spokesperson said.
Mehta also warned Shiv that if he did not pay, his duty would be shifted to other routes, she said.
ACB organised a trap and caught Mehta red-handed while accepting the bribe from the driver, she said, adding that he was booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Sleuths also raided Mehta's house and found undeclared cash of Rs 44,740 and a bunch of slips concerning drivers' duty, the spokesperson said.
