The 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by one Bhanu Pratap Singh at Sakariya village in Y D Nagar area of Mandsaur on May 11. The accused then set her on fire after pouring kerosene on her.
The victim had sustained 90 per cent burns and was first admitted to the district hospital in Mandsaur from where she was shifted to Udaipur where she succumbed on the intervening night of May 21-22, police said.
On May 20, a seven-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped, raped and murdered by her cousin at a town in Mandsaur, police said today.
